Two agents, a man and a woman, come to Lawndale High and warn the students to watch for anyone "different" - though they are very vague about exactly what they mean. They dress like the Men In Black, wearing black suits, sunglasses, and earphones.

At one point, they arrest and drag off Mr. DeMartino, suspecting him of sympathizing with communists and being an illegal alien - Ms. Barch had tipped them off. This suggests that the agents are in fact from immigration.
