Zachary was enlisted to drive Quinn and her friends around for the day while Daria and Jane shot a movie for O’Neill's class. He got the job mostly because "Larry" totaled his car, and Zachary had his mom's car. Upon their arrival at the Mall, Quinn was able to convince Zachary to leave them alone and go shopping for a present for her. He didn't seem to mind doing this, or any of the other ways in which Quinn treated him, such as how she couldn't remember his name and at one point called him Aaron.
