GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
"One little boy or girl might look at it and see a fire truck or a house. Another might see a herd of beautiful wild ponies running free across the plains." |
|
No name given. Guidance Counselor at Daria's elementary school. This guidance counselor spoke with six-year-old Daria on numerous occasions, often with Helen and Jake in attendance. Her findings indicated that Daria was very intelligent, but antisocial. She made use of an inkblot test in which Daria didn't see anything but black splotches. The guidance counselor suggested that children might see any number of pictures, such as a herd of beautiful wild ponies running free across the plains. After that particular session, Helen and Jake are so stressed out (due in large part to other pressures) that they have a loud argument about Daria that night. Not to be confused with
Mrs. Manson, guidance counselor at Lawndale High.
