Quinn and her parents encounter two police detectives while staying at the Grand Hotel. It seems that Bobby, a bellhop who took a shine to Quinn, gave her a number of perks (including free room service and upgrades) under the guise that he was the nephew of the hotel manager, when in reality he was fudging the accounts on the hotel computer.

Before Jake and Helen show up to talk to the detectives, they are compelled to sit and listen while Quinn prattles on about the outfits worn by police in TV dramas.
